Research at MaJaC

The Marie Jahoda Center aims to create a stimulating research environment for gender studies at RUB. The interdisciplinary research profile, which is particularly rooted in the field of cultural and social sciences, is clearly outlined and consistently used for collaborative projects. The next generation of scientists also play a major role at the Marie Jahoda Center.

Gender knowledge in practice

The Marie Jahoda Center for International Gender Studies is working on a number of projects and programmes that enable the targeted transfer of current research results in the field of gender studies to various segments of society. The spectrum ranges from diversity in football to intersex in NRW (the county of North Rhine-Westphalia), from special programmes for founders of start-ups to the development of steps for an inclusive campus. With many of these projects and programmes, the MaJaC is breaking new ground and is collaborating with various partners from society, science, economy, politics and the church.
